This mod tried to give me high expectations, and it did, but all it led to was letting me down. I could only want to play this up to Tide Pool since just looking at it makes my eyes hurt! The level art is just recolored from vanilla! Even the 'story' is just 2's story slightly modified! One hell of an '''oVeRhAuL''' if you ask me. Speaking of 'custom characters,' half the playable roster is just ripped from vanilla, and the Coco Von Diamonds reskin has the original journal description. I was lucky I decided to play as Roffy since the custom characters only make sightreading things worse. I fell onto spikes directly in front of me in a dark level since I couldn't see anything without my torch, which got crushed, since the shader makes darkness fade to black much quicker. The obnoxious art style and horrid shader make it hard to sightread. That ruined many of my runs, some of which were doing great! The entrance to under the Lake of Fire in Tide Pool is even possible to die to since instead of just being NORMAL and having a NORMAL ENTRANCE, noooooo we have to have spikes and a bone block (this mod loves bone blocks), ooh! and what if we add a push block? oh! and what if we make that part dark as hell so the player can't see their nose? Why? Because I can do that with the level maker, so I'm gonna do that with the level maker. I found myself walking through a back layer crammed with seven enemies for no reason other than 'because I can do that with the level maker, so I'm gonna do that with the level maker.'
